Very very nice

My wife and I were there to have a cocktail in the evening. Unfortunately, our expectations of a "cocktail bar" like this is not met. The cocktails tasted of water and not very tasty. I have the feeling that no one can mix cocktails in this shop, as these also took almost 20 minutes and the bar staff mixed any liquids, very confused. In addition, there was almost no alcohol in there. I ordered a mojito and got a sprite with an ice cube and a huge pile of mint. I also had to ask 3 employees for an ashtray and nobody knew what that was. Too bad the food of the other guests looked great but our experience there is unfortunately only worth 1 star ...

Authentic Indian food with good service and excellent ambience

Not an absolute "top restaurant", but a real asset for Dornach if you are tired of eating in the canteen. For me there could be more vegetarian dishes - there is plenty of that in Indian cuisine.

Good taste and amazing buffet.

Unfortunately yesterday, on April 20, 2020, we didn't have all the ingredients for our planned dinner at home. So my husband took another look at Lieferando. And because of a certain product, he became aware of the Taj restaurant: And that was specifically the Burger Taj - with beef and what else belongs on a reasonably well-made burger ... just avocado chutney instead of ketchup, snack sauce & Co. We were both really interested in it, so we bought two of them, one for each of us. The minimum order value of 20 euros was OK - especially if the burger cost 12.90 euros each. A total of 25.80 euros for everything. The waiting time was also reasonable. However - the burger was - well - mediocre. At the bottom of the burger bun, it was actually really cool - although the meat and the rest of it were all temperature-dependent. I ate a similar burger in the OEZ some time ago - and there it was a lot better: At that time, the avocado preparation was tastier and more creative. But yesterday the whole thing was pretty unseasoned. The tomatoes were also pretty standard. But, and you really have to say that: the fries - hollalla, so they were really still crispy - even though they were also packed in such a standard styrofoam bowl. They are usually quite soft and inedible on arrival. There was a ketchup and a mayo for everyone to dip. I mentioned earlier that the burger itself was unfortunately only mediocre - unfortunately that wasn't just because of the avocado sauce. Unfortunately both of us burned the meat at the end and it was no longer tasty. My husband was probably worse: his lower bread half was probably not just cool, but also soaked - which was not the case for me, just cool. At the end, his fries also softened - mine wasn't funny either. We didn't test the desserts because there wasn't a lot of choice: just mango cream with vanilla ice cream and some surprise package for 6.50 euros - and unfortunately I can't get involved with my financial situation. Conclusion: food unfortunately only mediocre. And if there is little choice, then at least with good quality - although I cannot say so in this case. It is questionable whether the store will get a second chance from me ... at least I now have no additional delivery service stamp card in my account, which I can no longer fill with orders because it is so bad - TAJ Dornach does not offer that.

Food was delicious, but cocktail is a joke. Caipirinha 7.90 completely fine from the price of a cocktail .... but a long drink havana cola for 8 euros ... For me it is either no idea or kidding the customer.

Staff is very nice, but the food is really nothing special. In addition, the prices are not cheap.

Excellent service and food as an experience: We have often had lunch and dinner in this restaurant. The service impresses with friendliness, professionalism and competence. The food is excellent. Everything tastes exceptionally good. What is pleasant in comparison to similar restaurants is the fact that the portions are so dimensioned that you can share a dish with two. We would love to come back.

Super nice Indian restaurant with very friendly service and a large selection of super delicious dishes. The ambience is also very nice and in summer you can even sit outside :) I can highly recommend it!

Overpriced chicken, nothing special, laughable small portions

I mainly go here for lunch where they offer a quite good all-you-can-eat buffet with meat or vegetable options (rice + 4-5 different sauses) fo 7.90. The quality surely could be better (as everything can be) but I personally really enjoy it and for 5he price it's unbeatable for lunch in the area.

This is 4th time that I and my colleague got sick after eating there. It took us time to connect the dots and have say it without any scope of doubt. Do not recommend.

Went for the lunchtime buffet style menu, so my rating is based on this. A good selection of curries including vegetarian options, a nice atmosphere with many locals in attendance. Help was on hand if you wanted drinks etc and made a nice change from other lunches.

Delicious food! Absolute recommendation for Indian cuisine. Even if you do not want to eat indian, you can order a pizza. The food is fresh and cooked quickly. The service very nice and you can sit outside.

I always go there for lunch. Sometimes even every day of the week. Their menu or buffet is always delicious and the buffet always has many options. The waiters are so funny and friendly. It is always a pleasure to visit during break and they make my day happier. If I could give 6 stars, I would! <3 If you even happen to be around, Taj is the place to eat!

Average Indian restaurant with good prices, good option for all you can eat

Food was nothing special. All curries we're cooked in the same base and you couldn't tell the difference between a vegetable curry or meat curry in taste.

Wanted to go out to eat today, made reservations online and received an e-mail that was answered quickly. Since we didn't reach anyone by phone, we drove past because we thought it would be fine. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed, neither on the AB, nor on the homepage that was mentioned, a shame !! Update: were there today, it was really delicious, I recommend it. Had the coupon from Groupon for two a three course meal for just under € 30 (see pictures)
